Mischief, Managed: Invisible Talkers

To progress to the next level, the gifted summoner must tackle the mastery of conjuring and exerting influence over sentient beings. Enter the invisible talker, an incorporeal and naturally inquisitive and communicative air elemental. When  summoned, it need not be immediately dominated nor offered a soul-wagered bargain. Often it is enough to simply request of it a task it might have done of its own accord. It is in the nature of invisible talkers to take delight in causing mischief and mayhem, and is precisely this string upon which a mage apprentice pulls to convince the conjured elemental into doing their dirty work for them.

That both summoner and summoned share in the same delight is no accident. The link that forms between them is strengthened by a common goal, and forging a strong and binding connection is at the heart of every successful summoning. By Anthony Alipio.
