Stronts Always Get Their Mark!
In last week's blog, we dipped a hoofed foot into the character creation tree for Search/Destroy Agents. Much like the extended Judge career path from Judge Dredd & the Worlds of 2000 AD, Strontium Dogs are able to choose from a selection of events that shape their steps towards a life as a bounty hunter.
Once that choice is made, it's only a short step to the Doghouse and signing on as a rookie. With so many dangerous criminals marauding the galaxy, only the fearless or skillful are expected to live long enough to be accepted as a fully-fledged Strontium Dog.
Those who are accepted fully into the ranks, however, are able to choose one of three career paths, each with their own unique perks. The former rookie will be able to keep their feet grounded in normal time and space as a traditional agent or else choose to specialise in either time capers or dimensional jaunts.
A grounding as an S/D Agent provides a broad base of skills that allows the bounty hunter to track and capture their mark efficiently, while specialising in time or inter-dimensional bounties will enable a Stront to better weather the strange effects that such travels can have on a mutant.
Of course, you might be wondering why anyone would want to take on the life of a galactic bounty hunter if the danger is so great. Aside from it being the only official form of employment that mutants are allowed to partake in, bounty hunting can be extremely lucrative. Join us next week as we take a look at how we offer advice on handling large bounties whilst also keeping the game's premise intact!
